Definite Merit at National Competition
James LOVES to have his hair cut at Floyd's Barbershop at the Domain. I decided to take my camera, as he had gone once before, and the barber was quite memorable.
The image captured was not set up in any way, no direction was given;
it was taken as James sat and enjoyed every minute of all the attention.
This print is a favorite of many, and I may spend the rest of my career trying to create a print with it's emotional appeal, artistry, story, and love.
Blue, Plaid, & Paisley
SWPPA Competition Print 2011

Thank you to Danny Pounds of Pounds Labs, we were both photographing Brad Paisley's Concert at the 2010 Aquapalooza on Lake Travis.
He was a true musician and showman, as he came down the ramp seen at the bottom of the image, and high-fived his fans and asked the lifeguards to sing along.
Concert goers were in swimsuits lounging on tubes and noodles on the shores of Lake Travis.
Everyone was fired up when the first few chords of "WATER" were heard.
What a great experience, and once in a lifetime image!

Coache's Day
I have declared it Coache's Day today... Not sure when Hallmark says it is, but it is Coache's Day for me! I will photograph 15 coaches and their families in the studio today!
Yes, seams like many, but I am thrilled to support the Westwood Foodball Team and photograph the families to be viewed their website!
What a great day it is~
Shopping, Shopping...A great new prop!
Lots of shopping this weekend, but the best buy was a bright plum baby buggy. IT IS AWESOME!!
This new prop will be great for baby girls who can sit up, from ages 9 months to 2 years. Outrageous outfits welcome!! Call 512-626-3309 or photographybyjennyrhea@hotmail.com to set up a time to come in.
I can't wait to use it in the studio, and I have an idea for a stellar competition print as well... :-) What a fun day!

BRAND NEW
Golf Senior Session
SENIORS ROCK!
I love my work! Photographing Christopher's senior portraits was such fun, and I was just a little surprised to hear him admit he enjoyed it too!
The Race is ON!
Photography by Jenny Rhea has open Senior Portrait appointments.
A senior photography session includes the whole enchilada and a boatload of fun. I could say it is limited to 2 hours, 3 sets of clothing changes, indoor only, but its not! I want to photograph your high school senior being THEMSELVES...so we will go the extra mile, literally. We may go out to the lake, or on location. Bring as many clothes as you want, we'll photograph until we have captured the essence of your student and the joy of their senior year.
Be sure to bring at least 3 changes of clothes and any fun items from sports or interests you may be involved in.
Email Jenny at photographybyjennyrhea@hotmail.com to set up an appointment.

Welcome to photography by Jenny Rhea
Welcome to my new website! Yes, it is a blog.
For most computer savvy people out there, you may think this inappropriate for a professional photographer. With all awesome choices out there to catch your attention, couldn't I do better?
Here's my argument: In the past 6 years, I have learned that I am not a web designer or html writer, nor do I want to be. I am a professional photographer. I can spend time trying to make my site the coolest, best, competitive site, or I could use my time to hone my skills and stay true to my craft by opening the doors to my creativity through a simple site.
While designing this site, I have you as a client and perhaps reader in mind, and hope that you can enjoy the simplicity of the site, while I enjoy being able to make to share with you the timeline of my creating life stories for my clients.
I pray you see past the design of the site, can appreciate the art of photography by Jenny Rhea.
